A linear earthwork ditch, circa 11m wide, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2013, to the west of Ogwell Barton, Ogwell. The east to west aligned earthwork corresponds with a road depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which passes to the north of West Ogwell Parish Church. The road, which is of possible medieval or post-medieval date, had evidently be re-routed by the late 19th century and is only partly shown on historic maps. No other sections of this former road are visible on the available aerial imagery.
