Full description

Cairn shows as light circle on Royal Air Force aerial photograph.
Greeves, T. A. P., 1983, Untitled Source (Site Visit). SDV276573.
One of two probable prehistoric cairns almost 1.2 kilometres west-north-west of Burnford Farm. A low ring cairn, about 50.0 metres east of the south-east corner of a modern enclosure. A low ring bank survives but this has been cut through on the north side by a ditch running east-west. Maximum external diameter is approximately 15.0 metres.

This site was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument during the Monument Protection Programme. The programme ended before the entire list of sites was successfully scheduled so this is included on a local list of Nationally Important Sites.
