Yealmpton parish church. St. Bartholomew. Earliest mention of the church in a charter c.1225. Nothing is probably left of the old building. Restored in 1849-52 (warner).

A church at yealmpton existed long before the conquest and probably before the creation of the diocese of crediton in 909 (reichel, 1928-1938).

Comprising:- nave, chancel, north and south aisles, north and south transepts, south porch and later west tower. Decorated windows with rectilinear, intersecting and foiled tracery.
