Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey, OS 25" (Cartographic). SDV848.

'Marsdon Farm' is shown on OS 25" (1880s) map as a large group of adjoining buildings around a rectilinear yard with an opening to the west.

18th century. Two storeys. Roughcast with thatched roof. Casement windows. Farm buildings of red stone with iron roofs.

Marsden Farm. Farmhouse of stone. Roundhouse at rear of house originally horse driven with a conical roof later converted to water turbine power in 1932. Cottage has bread oven bulge and threshing machine.
