Site visit 11th April 1984. Rackfield Mission Hall. Now disused. There are infact two buildngs joined together, of different heights, forming the south side of the mill leat, with 19th century housing in front, on the Rackfield side. Both buildings have been industrial buildings at one time, being basically of stone with pitched tile roofs, timber lintels etc. There has been much subsequent blocking and the windows of the mission hall are later insertions. Possibly once part of the tannery.
