Circa 1830. Neo-classical style house of Foulston type. Two storey, three window front. Stuccoed with granite plinth and steps. Pilasters to quoins and central feature have rows of guttae. Stopped blocking course and cornice. Sashes, including three-light window above central doorway. Doorway has recessed porch with square pilasters and rectangular fanlight. Interior has good curved staircase and fluted columns to hall. This building occupies the site of a house called 'Stone Posts' where the last Abbot of Tavistock (John Peryn), is said to have lived after the dissolution.
