Milestone in a hedge at the end of a private drive erected by the Newton Bushel Turnpike c1765 and inscribed '2M. ?P. ? Miles to Newton Bushel 3 miles to Teignmouth'. A survey in 2003 found the stone worn and hidden in the hedge.

Inscribed milestone of light coloured granite, easily overlooked. Worn. The milestones along this route are mostly intact and of a distinctive shape and tend to show distances in both miles and poles. They were most probably placed by the Newton Bushel Turnpike Trust some time after its inception in 1765.
