Jenkinson, T., 2004, Untitled Source (Report - Survey). SDV250089.

Milestone on the north side of the road in a low wall on the path erected by the Newton Bushel Turnpike c1765 and inscribed '2 Miles to Teignmouth 3M. P.12 Miles to Newton Bushel'. A survey in 2003 found the stone chipped and the legend worn.

The milestones along this route are mostly intact and of a distinctive shape and tend to show distances to the two towns in both miles and poles. They were most probbly placed by the Newton Bushel Turnpike Trust some time after its inception in 1765.
