Full description

Department of Environment, 1973, Ashburton, 22 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV300597.

No 6, North Street. Early 18th century two storey and attic, slate roof renewed. Four-light casement dormer. Two flush frame 1st floor windows now with centre glazing bars only. Plaster, painted. Mid-19th century shop with wood case and medium sized panes. Central entrance, and extra entrance, right.

House with shop. Probably C17 or earlier, remodelled mid C19. Rendered front (probably timber-framed). Slated roof. 2 storeys with garret. 2 windows wide. Mid C19 shop front with pilasters and entablature; two 6-paned display windows. House door to right. Upper storey has 2-paned sashes in flush frames. Dormer window with pent-roof; 4-light wood casement, the 2 centre lights 6-paned; the outer ones 2-paned.
