Full description
Department of Environment, 1972, Urban District of Crediton, 22 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV39769.
Number 129 High street. Eighteenth century altered, 3 storey, 3 windows, red brick, eaves cornice with coupled brackets keystones to flat arches of windows. Eighteenth century doorcase with reeded detail. "Art Norwen" shop front inserted, left.
Numbers 129,to 131 (consecutive) and Ship Hotel form a group.

129 High Street. Shop with accommodation over. Probably late 18th-, late 19th century shop front. Flemish bond brick; slate roof; stack with brick shaft.
Exterior: 3 storeys. 3-bay front with deep eaves with a moulded eaves cornice with paired brackets. On the ground floor an attractive Art Nouveau shop front with a high transomed plate glass window, the transom curving upwards in the centre. 3 original 18th century first floor 12-pane sashes with guaged flat brick arches with keyblocks; 3 similar second floor windows.
Interior: Not inspected but may retain features of interest.
