Summary
Shaugh bridge, bickleigh vale. Road bridge over river plym. Circa c17 piers, arches rebuilt in 1825. Granite ashlar. Two span bridge central pier with cutwater on either side. Impost at springing of arch on pier and abutments. Rebuilt above with very shallow segmental arches, and parapets with rounded coping and stringcourses. The arches were destroyed by floodwater due to a sudden thaw during the winter of 1823-4 (doe).
