Site on one of the proposed alternative routes for the Barnstaple bypass.
Unknown, 1838, Fremington Parish (Cartographic). SDV71013.
The Tithe Map shows two buildings in plot No. 1426. This is recorded as house yard and road on the Apportionment. The surrounding fields (1457, 1458 and 1464) are called Barns or Higher Barns Close.
