Full description

Early 19th century pair, stucco, with entry between, rusticated ground floor, angle pilasters with honeysuckle ornament. Five sash windows, at first floor, with glazing bars.

Pair of houses with central carriageway, left-hand house subdivided into flats. Circa 1850. Mass wall construction, stuccoed and blocked out, the ground floor with chanelled rustication; slate roof gabled at ends; end stacks, shafts not seen. Outer front doors face staircases, central carriageway led through to rear court.
Exterior: three storeys. Symmetrical five-bay front. Platband at first-floor level; left and right pilasters to first and second floor with sunk panels and anthemion decoration; eaves band. Round-headed outer doorways, the left-hand house with a 19th century six-panel door and plain fanlight, right-hand door (No.21) replaced. Central carriageway segmental-headed with two-leaf plank doors. Ground-floor windows tripartite sashes, No.21 with 12-pane sash in the centre and outer four-pane sashes; glazing bars missing from No.23. First-floor windows 16-pane sashes, the centre window horned. Second floor similar with blind recess in the centre and some glazing bars missing from one window. Interior not inspected but may retain features of interest.
