Vis=31/1/1985 (weddell). Post medieval + ? late medieval pot. About 15 sherds (worksheet).

Above ngr centred. Tradition that there were stone buildings in this field survives. Although no evidence in recent years (oral info).

Scatters of medieval pottery recorded in vicinity of roman fort and settlement (see sy29ne/33) (silvester).
SIVESTER AND BIDWELL, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV116647.
Excavations in 1981-82 produced "one small boxful" of medieval pottery from the area of the roman fort. Volume sufficient to suggest that a medieval settlement must lie nearby. Dateable to between the 12th and 15th centuries.(sivester and bidwell).
