Three shops with accommodation over. Probably early 18th century; mid/late 19th century shop fronts. Mass wall construction, smooth plastered; slate roof, gabled at ends; stack to rear of ridge with brick shaft and four crested yellow pots.
Plan: fronting Angel Hill and backing on to a courtyard composed of former agricultural/storage buildings. No.17 (the left-hand house) is two rooms deep with a stair cell between front and rear rooms.
Exterior: three storeys. Asymmetrical 2:1:1-window front. Passageway to rear courtyard between Nos 17 and 15. Shop front seems to be consistent across the whole frontage with timber pilasters, fascia and deep projecting cornice. No.17 has a doorway to the right with a glazed shop door with low panel and overlight. Three-pane shop window with moulded glazing bars. No.15 has a two-light shop window with moulding glazing bars and a 20th century small-pane shop door to the left with an overlight. Interior: partly inspected. No.17 has a plain stair between front and rear rooms. Owner reports windows with leaded panes, now internal.
