Nos 1 and 1a, Chapel Street. Late 18th century. Painted brick. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends. Three storeys. Two windows, sashes in exposed casing without glazing bars. Two central glazed doors. Grade II for group value.

House with later shop. Circa1790s with 20th century shop. Painted Flemish bond brick to front, rear elevation stone rubble; gabled slate roof; end stacks with brick shafts with brick bands. Two rooms deep, two rooms wide with shop inserted to left. First floor rear access.
Exterior: three storeys. two-window front, symmetrical above the ground floor. Four-panel door to right. half-glazed shop door to left with 20th century shop window. Four-pane sash windows throughout, one without horns and second-floor window to left is boxed. Interior not inspected but may retain features of interest.
