A line of large tin pits runs south-west to north-east for some 800 metres (SX 60706944 to SX 61456979), some 200 metres south-east of Nun's Cross Ford. They cut a streamwork (MDV24826) to the south-west end and terminate in a small openwork at the south-east. Two large openworks run downslope from the line of pits (MDV24829) (citing Riley, H., Royal Commission on the Historic Monuments in England Field Investigation, 23/01/1995).
