Full description
Weddell, P. J., Report. (Report - Survey). SDV23526.
A map of c.1600 is annotated "fosse yeat" near where the track from wollacott meets the modern road, probably to the east of the present junction. This would imply a ditch which the road crosses perhaps. Vis=8/3/1985 (weddell). There are no obvious features to equate with this but the hill to the east of wollacott would have made a good, easily defensible site.
