HER Number:MDV24923
Name:Leat at Drizzlecombe

Summary

A leat, now disused and silted was most probably a tinners leat used to supply water to the extensive openworks at Drizzle Combe. It is traceable between SX59246686 and SX58946688 but would have extended eastwards to draw water either directly from the River Plym or more likely it would have joined the higher leat at SX59316693. It may also have functioned as part of a post-medieval field boundary linking to a low field bank at SX59046685.
