Summary

Series of five huts noted here from the 1985 aerial photograph project. Survey in 1999 could find no traces of these alleged hut circles on the steeply sloping south-east facing clitter-covered moorland hillslope. This area lies adjacent to the well preserved prehistoric enclosure with its impressive hut circles (SX 66 NW 15).

Five unenclosed hut circles near an enclosure. A leat has been cut so as to separate the northernmost hut circle (at SX 60296735) from the rest.

Fletcher, M. + Newman, P. + Probert, S., 1999, Drizzlecombe, Eylesbarrow, Ditsworthy and Hartor areas in the Plym Valley, West Devon (Report - Survey). SDV346268.

(13/07/1999) There are no traces of these alleged hut circles on the steeply sloping south-east facing clitter-covered moorland hillslope. This area lies adjacent to the well preserved prehistoric enclosure with its impressive hut circles (SX 66 NW 15).
The evidence for these alleged features is derived from Aerial Photographic plotting which was not ground checked.
