A ditch banked on either side, irregular in direction and uneven in depth and width, runs from a point below the blocked entrance to Beacon Plantation at SX 7317 7315 to SX 7300 7297 where it peters out above Beacon Cottages.

(04/04/1986) A ditch banked on either side, irregular in direction and uneven in depth and width, runs from a point below the blocked entrance to Beacon Plantation at SX 7317 7315 to SX 7300 7297 where it peters out above Beacon Cottages. There are the possible remains of a right angled bank 0.75m high at the lower end, with an unfinished square worked stone lying on top. To the west of the hedge is an area of very disturbed ground. Possibly a site of former limekiln.
