A dark linear cropmark circa 13m wide and 60m long is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 crossing the west-facing slopes of a combe south-east of Nethershaugh.
The cropmark was probably previously interpreted as a lynchet. However, the mark does not correspond with any identifiable earthwork features and its cross-contour alignment is not compatible with an interpretation as a lynchet.
The cropmark is probably a natural feature arising from drainage and not archaeological in origin.
