Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1951 - 1979, SX66SE12 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV169282.

Two hut circles. Hut C: one of two hut circles outside the enclosure (SX66SE/97) close to the north wall. Double walled type, turf-covered wall in rather poor condition. Entrance possibly on the east side. Diameter measures 8.5 meters. Hut D: one of two hut circles outside the enclosure close to the north wall. Double walled type, turf-covered wall in rather poor condition. Entrance possibly on the east side. Diameter measures 8.5 meters. (1950)
Hut circles with levelled interiors, diameter 6.8 - 8.7 meters. Hut C has a possible entrance on the eastern side. Hut D has double faced orthostatic walling (1979).

Two hut circles just outside enclosure SX66SE/97 at SX66926462 and SX66936463, the later abutting a ditch. Visible on 1979 National Monuments Record aerial photograph.

This site was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument during the Monument Protection Programme. The programme ended before the entire list of sites was successfully scheduled so this is included on a local list of Nationally Important Sites.
