Full description

Royal Air Force, 1946, RAF/CPE/UK/1890, 1320 (Aerial Photograph). SDV169268.

Unknown, 1967, Unknown title, 317-318 (Article in Serial). SDV364148.

Watching brief took place during the construction of a trackway from Rippon Tor to Bagtor Wood.

National Monuments Record, 1977, NMR SX7574, 1 (Aerial Photograph). SDV283914.

Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, 1985, Aerial Photograph Project (Dartmoor) - Dartmoor Pre-NMP (Cartographic). SDV319854.

A modern track, apparently unmetalled, probably built after 1961 (it is not visible on Royal Air Force 1946 aerial photographs, nor is it shown on the Ordnance Survey 1:10560 map revised in 1961. However, it is shown on the Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 Outdoor Leisure Map, 1984).
The road is significant because it has cut through and partly destroyed a parallel reave system, together with two streamworks and an attached enclosure. It is not visible west of SX75107366. It forks at SX76057454 and then becomes invisible under tree cover east of SX76057461 and SX76097457.

Ordnance Survey, 2016, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV359352.

Track depicted on the modern mapping.
