Small banked enclosure visible amongst peat cutting, probably recent in origin.

(04/01/1988)/ This sub-rectangular sloped enclosure visible on APs lies in a marshy area on the floorplan of the West Dart River. Efforts have been made in the past to drain the marsh but how many of the silted and reed-covered ditches are associated with this work and how much disturbance is the result of 19th century peat digging is not clear.
The enclosure is in fact a shallow ditch, perhaps part of the drainage system, and so is of minor archaeological significance.
