Summary

The remains of Intensive tin streamworking occurs along both banks of the Blackbrook River, from SX 60507382 to its junction with the West Dart River at SX 61797412. Turf-covered heaps of river gravel up to 0.7m high, narrow, deep and dry water channels and minor banks survive especially in the areas centred at SX 608667407, SX 60867385 and SX 60567384.

Streamwork extends from SX 60957399 to SX 60777424 with a ditch or channel running centrally through its long axis.

(04/03/1988) The remains of Intensive tin streamworking occurs along both banks of the Blackbrook River, from SX 60507382 to its junction with the West Dart River at SX 61797412. Turf-covered heaps of river gravel up to 0.7m high, narrow, deep and dry water channels and minor banks survive especially in the areas centred at SX 608667407, SX 60867385 and SX 60567384.
A substantial leat (SX 67 SW 100) delimits the workings on the north side of the river on the wide floodplain, with evidence of desultory digging and narrow water channels in the areas centred SX 61267406 and SX 61577411.
