Summary
The sinuous ditch commences beside the ditch of a newtake wall at SX 62907445 and extends across the contour of a NE-facing slope terminating at the ditch of a small square enclosure at SX 62607462. In its rather silted state it is 2.0m wide and 0.4m deep with a 2.0m wide upcast bank on the lower side. It forms the upper limit of a ridge & furrow plot (SX 67 SW 150) and it may have been dug to carry water away from these cultivation ridges.

(07/01/1988) The sinuous ditch depicted on the RCHM 1/10000 transcription (1985) commences beside the ditch of a newtake wall at SX 62907445 and extends across the contour of a NE-facing slope terminating at the ditch of a small square enclosure at SX 62607462. In its rather silted state it is 2.0m wide and 0.4m deep with a 2.0m wide upcast bank on the lower side. It forms the upper limit of a ridge & furrow plot (SX 67 SW 150) and it may have been dug to carry water away from these cultivation ridges.
