Medieval and later openworks and tin pits located along the north bank of the Swincombe River. An archaeological field survey in 1989 recorded the earthworks covering an area of eight hectares and included two lines of irregularly spaced tin pits ranging from 2 metres to 5.5 metres in diameter and from 0.8 metres to 1.5 metres deep, with rims of upcast rock and growan. Many other apparently random, tin pits littered the surrounding area.
