An earthern bank encloses 13.5ha between the S wall of Fox Tor Newtake and Fox Tor Mires. The bank, 3.0m wide and 0.7m high, is flanked on both sides by ditches 0.8m and 1.7m wide with a maximum depth of 1.2m. The area enclosed is largely moorland with marshy ground towards the N margin.
