HER Number:MDV26163
Name:Enclosures on Corndon Down within the Dartmeet parallel reave system

Summary

Two, small, enclosures on the lower eastern slopes of Corndon Down. Each enclosure has an area of roughly 0.05 hectares and is attached to a prehistoric reave (SX 67 SE 94), one either side, forming an approximate figure 8. The eastern example has a D shape footprint with extremely faint walls, comprising low spread earth banks. It has been transected by a gully of probable Medieval date, which has effectively cut it into two. The western enclosure is slightly more clear with some stone of the fabric visible. This is quadrant shaped, built against two reaves set at right angles.
