Full description

Royal Air Force, 1946, RAF/CPE/UK/1890, 1307-1308 (Aerial Photograph). SDV169268.

Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England, 1985, Aerial Photograph Project (Dartmoor) - Dartmoor Pre-NMP (Cartographic). SDV319854.

Enclosure with four internal hut circles and a possible building within an area of ridge and furrow. The north-western edge is not visible as it is within an area of woodland as seen on 1946 RAF aerial photograph. The OS 1:10560 1954 map shows the remaining part of the enclosure is also in area of woodland. Visible on RAF 1946 aerial photographs.

Royal Commission for the Historical Monuments of England, 1993-1998, Dartmoor Royal Forest Project (Report - Survey). SDV346608.

(26/11/1993) No ground evidence to suggest the presence of the features depicted on the RCHME APU transcription (1985). The area described by the NGR lies in a plantation of young conifers on a steep east-facing slope 300m east of Laughter Hole House. The ground surface is largely obscured by the brash remaining from the felling of an earlier plantation.

Gerrard, S., 1993-2010, Monument Protection Programme Alternative Action Report (Report - non-specific). SDV145710.

Considered under MPP but no ground evidence. Not recommended for scheduling.
