Name:Enclosure on Riddon Ridge

Summary

A sub-rectangular enclosure immediately north-west of Babeny Farm. It is bounded by a turf bank 1.8m wide and 0.7m high with an external ditch 1.7m wide and 0.6m deep. The interior is largely gorse covered an no internal detail is visible. This feature is probably of medieval origin and formed a newtake of Babeny Farm.

Large possible enclosure just outside the enclosed land. Visible on 1946 aerial photographs.

(27/08/1992) Centred SX 66497563. A sub-rectangular enclosure of approximately 0.8 hectares situtated on the steep south-western flank of Riddon Ridge immediately north-west of Babeny Farm. It is bounded by a turf bank 1.8m wide and 0.7m high with an external ditch 1.7m wide and 0.6m deep. The interior is largely gorse covered an no internal detail is visible. This feature is probably of medieval origin and formed a newtake of Babeny Farm.
