(07/09/1992) SX 66637625 to SX 66567624. A line of tinners' prospecting pits on the moderate south-west facing slope of Riddon Ridge 450m east of Whiteslade House. The pits average 4.0m in diameter and 0.75m deep. Waste material forms crescentic banks on the downslope (west) side. An inscribed stone (SX 67 NE 140) possibly a tinners' bound stone lies in the southern edge of the spoil heap associated with the easternmost pit.
A further line of pits lies parallel and 100m north-west of these pits (SX 67 NE 145).
