Summary
A pillow mound lies across the contours on the steep east-facing slope above the left bank of the O Brook. The turf covered mound is roughly rectangular with a rounded upslope, western, end. It measures 38m long, 3.5m wide and O.8m high. A drainage/quarry ditch 2.0m wide and 0.5m deep encloses the north, west and south sides of the mound.

Field visit to Holne 25/2/1985. This pillow mound showed up clearly in morning in field slope.

(30/11/1995) SX 6645 7153. A pillow mound lies across the contours on the steep east-facing slope above the left bank of the O Brook. The turf covered mound is roughly rectangular with a rounded upslope, western, end. It measures 38m long, 3.5m wide and O.8m high. A drainage/quarry ditch 2.0m wide and 0.5m deep encloses the north, west and south sides of the mound. A similar feature (SX 67 SE 108) is situated 340m to the north at SX 6637 7185.
(NB; date of this survey visit is prior to the Spring 1996 start date of the Holne Moor RCHME survey; may be from a previous survey visit; Down Ridge? Richards, A. F., 09/06/2020).
