Area of quarry is depicted on the early 20th century historic map, but not on the previous edition. Map object is based on this source.

(L7) 1905 Ordnance Survey map shows track from new reservoir and spoil heap which is not shown on Ordnance Survey 1886 map. Heap measures 42 metres long by 2 metres wide.
(L7a) No quarry is now visible at SX 7839 7939. Promontory composed of soil and vegetation; no steep quarrying is visible. Very few boulders or rocks evident.
A slit trench 1.0 metre deep by 2 metres long by 1.5 metres wide noted. Sketch made.
