Towards their sources where they are relatively well preserved the channels are around 0.7m wide and a maximum of 0.25m deep with substantial banks on their downslope margins. The upper channel rapidly shows damage by later activities and becomes little more than a crude linear hollow while the lower feature is latterly obscured by marsh in the valley bottom.
