Miller, A., Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV13030.

Rapid examination of aps suggests the presence of a probable medieval field system, visible as earthworks of lynchets and ridge + furrow in an area bounded by sx395855, sx399860, sx397861, sx392858 + sx391856 (miller).

Tinhay down. Half of this field is ploughed. Cropmarks show position of former plough headlands. Similar evidence to north (balkwill on rcu ap).

The tithe map shows a large area of Tinhay as unenclosed, it was occupied by a number of farmers. Broken lines are however marked within this area which show the position of former strips. It is not clear whether they were still in use at that time.
