'Quarry' is marked on the late 19th century historic map (Tithe Map does not cover this area). On the western side of the road.

(08/06/1989) A small quarry of around 0.14 hectares, cut to a maximum depth of 3 metres situated at SX62477622 adjacent to the B3212. It is probably a short-lived venture used as a source of granite for local building purposes. It is shown in 1886 and in 1906, when it is described as an 'Old quarry'. It is probably 19th century and connected with agricultural road building or industrial activity in the area.
