Summary

The remains of two leats at Powder Mills gunpowder works. The leat which runs from SX 62487695 to SX 62737709 has a channel circa 0.5 metres wide and circa 0.2 metres deep. The second leat which runs from SX 62457693 to SX 62647698 has similar dimensions to the first leat. Both were probably used for domestic purposes.

[SX67NW/199] SX 6263 7698 Sinuous ditch visible on RAF 1946 aerial photograph and which maybe related to the powder mills SX67NW/51. It runs parallel to another ditch SX67NW/204.

(08/06/1989) Two small channels, probably leats, running gentle sinuous courses from a streamlet towards the Powder Mills enclosure.
Leat 1: SX 62487695 to SX 62737709. It ends against the wall at Powder Mills. The channel is 0.5m wide and 0.2m deep.
Leat 2: SX 62457693 to SX 62647698. Dimensions as Leat 1. Both were probably pot-water leats serving Powder Mills Cottages (see also SX 67 NW 196).
