(06/01/1996) Centred SX 67387066. Two hut circles and several associated enclosures lie on the gentle S facing slope above the left bank of the Venford Brook. The huts, at SX 67367067 and SX 67407067, have both been terraced into the slope and neither possesses an identifiable entrance. The interior of the W hut, at SX 67367067, measures 3.7m in diameter and is enclosed by a slight stoney rim. Abutting its E side is a further small sub-circular structure around 1.8m in internal diameter and open on the E side. The E hut is a fairly substantial structure with an internal diameter of 3.6m and walls 1.5m wide and 0.5m high.
The huts have been integrated into a small contemporary field system consisting of enclosures of around 0.1ha in area bounded by low stoney banks around 1.5m wide and up to 0.7m high.
This settlement lies within a later, medieval, field system and has been slightly disturbed by this later agrarian activity.
