Visible on the 1940s Royal Air Force aerial photographs, this was first recorded in 1985. Consists of a large amorphous block of streamworking, mainly along the east bank of the River Lyd. Runs from SX54138750 to SX54958815. SX 5533 8820; Streamworks visible.

Vast streamworks disfigure the Lyd valley almost from its source down to the confluence with Doetor Brook, and the amount of sand and gravel released must have added significantly to the sandbanks on the Tamar. Below the tramway bridge the gully widens to to over 100 metres across and deepens to 3 metres as the river alters course southwards before diverging to follow the course of the original stream bed.

Ordnance Survey, 2024, Mastermap 2024 (Cartographic). SDV365834.

'Stream Tin Works (disused)' shown on modern mapping.
