Area between Woodtown and the woods to the north-east shows a number of lost field boundaries. Depicted on the historic maps and partially visible on aerial photographs / lidar data, the fields have been opened up in modern times with a number of boundaries lost.

The Tithe Map shows a number of field boundaries to the north-east of Woodtown still in existence.


Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

By the later 19th century, most of the field subdivisions shown on the Tithe Map have been removed.

Bank visible on 1947 aerial photograph running from SX71840 86947 to SX 71784 86854, oriented north-east by south-west.

Some of the old boundaries are visible on the lidar data; others have been obscured by an early 20th century boundary running from SX71783 86852 to SX71719 86715.
