Higher Checkridge farmhouse, checkridge lane. C17 or earlier. Stone rubble, partly rendered. Thatched roof, clad in corrugated iron, with half hipped ends. Two storeys.

Higher Checkridge Farmhouse. Farmhouse. C17 or earlier. Stone rubble, partly rendered. Thatched roof, clad in corrugated iron, with half hipped ends. Two storeys. C20 casements. Two light hollow chamfered stone mullion window at south-east end. Brick ridge stack off centre. Wing to north-east forming L-shaped plan, also stone rubble with corrugated iron clad thatched roof with gabled end, and with blocked pointed arch doorway. Circa C19 lean-to porch in the angle. Interior: only partly inspected. Stopped chamfer ceiling beam and plank and muntin screen at south-east end.
