Full description
Sheldon, L., 1937, Devon Inns, 377 (Article in Serial). SDV10197.
The Arscott Arms at Chapmans Well, on the road from Launceston to Holsworthy is an interesting house. Appears the same as in coaching days. It is built of cob, whitewashed and thatched. The inn stands at right angles to the road with a yard at the front. There is a mounting block, a sundial and a row of pigeon holes under the eaves. The open fireplace and oven still exist. Other details: Plate XLVII , Fig 5.
