Newman, P., 2018, The Upper Erme Valley, Dartmoor National Park, Devon: An Archaeological Survey, Appendix 1 (Report - Survey). SDV362921.

A large cluster of tin prospecting pits and possible undeveloped lode works on the southern slope of Quickbeam Hill, south of the Hook Lake tin streamworks. The approximately circular trial pits are up to 5 metres diameter and 1 to 2 metres deep, though some larger examples may be shallow shafts. A shallow trench was dug from the centre of the cluster, possibly from a level used to drain the pits. The pits have not been dated but are likely to be post-medieval.
