Visited on 11th March 1994. A small cluster of huts terraced into the hillslope.

Hut Circles '13' to '17' to the north of the large enclosures at 'Ranny Brook' for a discrete group. Their walls were layered using the small surface stone available locally rather than constructed of vertically set slabs with rubble infill. Pillar stones were reserved for doorposts and gateways. Where visible all entrances face south.

Scheduled in 1961 as part of SAM 460 "Settlement east of Yealm Steps" (see also sx66sw/213) only 5 of these hut circles included in Schedules of 1992 (see subsheet and sx66sw/252 and 253) - the remaining 2 have been defacto descheduled.

A cluster of five stone hut circles situated on a south facing slope overlooking the valley of the River Yealm. The stone hut circles survive as banks os stone and earth each surrounding a circular internal area ( English Heritage Schedule Entry 08/04/1997).
