Site visited on 23rd April 1992. Series of elongated hollows leading north-east across the contour of the hillslope. Identified as post medieval granite quarries. Generally less than 5 metres wide, up to 2 metres deep. Length varies from a few metres to 100 metres. Cut through southern parts of field system.

A large number of small elongated stone quarries lie within the monument. These consist of elongated hollows generally less than 5 metres wide and up to 2 metres deep. These quarries were a source of building stone during the post-medieval period.
