Bishop Stafford's register records that Licence to Celebrate Divine Service in the chapel of St Andrew was granted to Peter de Fylham in 1400. The remains of the Chapel or Oratory stand on the lawn to the south of the house and may have been attached to a former substantial mansion. The remains consist of a small rectangular single storey building. Traces of a pointed window are found in the north wall and the floor is paved with pebbles. A chestnut tree trunk acts as a tie beam for the east end of the roof. The square tower has a double lancet window. The gaze tower has a newel staircase with stone steps and various small openings or lights. A rectangular doorway allows acces to the roof of the adjoining square tower.
