Summary

Disused diversion channel of Devonport Leat. SX 5480 6785 to SX 5423 6825. Early 19th century. Formed to bypass an iron mine. East end junction with main channel marked by pyramidal stone inscribed "PCWW 1917". Western end is a tunnel reportedly with low arched portal (not inspected). Linear openwork visible on RAF 1946 aerial image at SX 5440 6809 and recorded in project.
