Full description

Shown as a large rectangular building on 19th century map on the west side of the road with a row of five adjoining buildings on a slightly different angle to the southwest.

Hurford's Stores in Kilmington was Listed on 19th October 1984. Two storey house of three bays with shop premises built in the early-mid 19th century of stuccoed stone rubble under a slurried slate roof with stone coping to gable ends. Sash windows with glazing bars. To left early/mid 19th century double fronted shop window with pilasters, entablature and multi-pane windows and rectangular fanlight over central doorway. Flush panelled entrance door to house on right of shop. Rebuilt brick chimney stacks over gable end. Included for group value. Other details: LBS Number 88038.
